Welcome to John Halley's web page

I specialize in the application of mathematics, computers and statistics to ecological and other environmental problems, especially to the conservation of biological diversity.

My current interests are the application of novel methods for the interpretation of data with long-range dependence, including population time series and global temperature changes, and also in forecasting rates of species loss due to rainforest loss (see Research).

This web-page describes my research and teaching work at the University of Ioannina. Here you can find my scientific papers here along with links to interesting websites. You can also download some of the programs I have written.
